New York Cafe is boujee AF, it screams decadence and elegance.
The cafe is a short metro trip from Deak Ferenc making it very easy to get to. You’ll recognise it instantly, with the hoards of people taking pictures both outside and in.
It feels like you’re in a museum when you’re inside. Look at the ceiling painting, the details put into the architecture and the interior is amazing.
There are two sides to the cafe, the restaurant and the hotel. As expected, the hotel guests had fancier seats compared to the restaurant guests. Nonetheless, they were still nice and right by the window. I’m pretty sure my friends and I will appear in a lot of tourists’ pictures!
We went to the cafe for my friend’s birthday meal, we were late for the breakfast so had to opt for the a la carte menu. To be 100% honest the food is not worth the price. If you want to stay for an hour or so then I’d recommend ordering tea/ coffee and maybe some desserts.
The customer service was very interesting.. our server was quite the sarcastic Joe. Maybe it was the language barrier or the difference in humour, whatever it was I wasn’t 100% satisfied with the service.
Although not a landmark, New York cafe is known as the World’s most beautiful cafe and i think that’s reason enough to visit.
Till my next stop x
