Everyone had told me to visit Dishoom and I kept seeing pictures of Dishoom on instagram and it seemed like I really HAD to go.
So my girlfriends and I decided to head to Dishoom for breakfast. We went to the Covent Garden branch and thank god it wasn’t busy. We got there around 11.30 and quite literally, as soon as we sat down, crowds of people started coming into the restaurant.
The one thing I was really excited to try was the Masala Chai, everyone had amazing things to say about it so I couldn’t not try! The best thing about the chai was that it was bottomless for breakfast! We ordered three cups of chai and naan rolls. We got Egg Naan Rolls and Bacon & Egg Naan roll.
The chai was delicious- it was spicy and hot and just the right amount of sweetness. It transported me back to Nepal and India- it felt even more authentic being served in a glass cup. The food was okay, The egg yolk was so beautifully orange, creamy and delicious. Everything individually was yummy, it was just a bit too sweet for my liking but other than that it was delish!
I’d like to go back to Dishoom for lunch and dinner and really see how the food tastes. I’ve heard their black lentil is delicious so I need to go and try that especially since that’s my favourite dish at home.
