We started day 2 with a raw vegan meal at a cafe called Matcha Bar. We decided to go for the brunch which had coconut bun, vegan cheese, overnight oats, a cupcake and a bunch of vegan condiments like butter, jam and nutella. We also got a side of matcha latte. The meal was very filling- a vegan’s heaven. Unfortunately we weren’t the biggest fans of the latte, the milk was very different so the taste was unique.
After our meal we headed over to Christiansborg Palace. The palace is situated on the tiny island of Slotsholmen. Since we had explored the area the night before, getting to the Palace was super easy and I felt like a human GPS. The buildings and houses around the vicinity were all very tall, bright and slim very much like the people themselves. Everyone is so tall in Copenhagen, we were dwarfed wherever we went. Please see the last picture for reference.
If you visit the palace, make sure to go to the viewing tower. It’s free to go to and you get an incredible view of the city. The orange-tiled roofs are a common sight in Europe but there was a different beauty in the Danish skyline. You can also visit the Royal Reception Rooms and The Oval Throne Room where foreign ambassadors to Denmark are received by the Queen.
Till my next stop x
This is my friend next to someone’s bike 😂 If we were to sit on it, our feet would barely make the pedals!
