Weekend in Paris

My weekend in Paris was everything and more.

After a hectic week at work, a nice relaxing weekend break was just what I needed. A quick 2.5hr Eurostar journey later, I was in one of the most beautiful cities in the world! Being such a huge city, there was ample space to sit back, relax and enjoy the view. Paris has this magic ability to relax stressed people- completely opposite of London.

My first stop was to the Louvre. As I was there late afternoon, the weather was perfect and it wasn’t crowded at all. After, I walked around getting lost in the city and really taking everything in. I didn’t appreciate the beauty of Paris till this trip. Now I’m older and somewhat wiser, I really appreciated the architecture, food and culture whereas when I was younger I was mostly concerned with Disneyland.

I also stopped at Musee d’Orsay and Musee de l’Orangerie, where I saw the beautiful art works of Monet, Manet, Van Gogh plus many other artists. Best thing about these museums, entrance was free for EU Nationals! (won’t have this privilege after Brexit :'() Next stop was to Notre Dam and the famous love lock bridge. Both beautiful places. Notre Dam was the perfect place to escape the heat and relax in the presence of the holy spirit.

In the evening, I went to the most iconic place in Paris- the Eiffel tower. It was even more glorious than I remembered and the best thing was I got to see it in the evening when it was all lit up and sparkly! It’s a sight I’ll never forget.

Oh Paris! You beautiful city, I’ll be back for sure.

Till my next stop x
